Founded in 2004, Opportunity Charter has supported our community by providing students in grades 6–12 with a learning environment that celebrates and nurtures their unique potential. Our tuition-free public charter school sparks curiosity, fuels creativity, and drives academic excellence. Students receive the individualized attention and resources they need to succeed. With a strong focus on students with learning disabilities, OCS equips learners for academic success and a lifetime of achievement.
Every Learner Shines Bright
At Opportunity Charter School, we empower students facing significant academic challenges, particularly those with complex learning disabilities. With tailored interventions, we meet students where they are and get them where they need to be. We are dedicated to nurturing academic excellence, emotional resilience, and social inclusion, ensuring our students are fully prepared to succeed in college or their chosen career paths.

What Parents Say About OCS
Secure Your Spot
Students in grades 6–12 are welcome to apply to OCS, regardless of their academic history. We accept students through a lottery system—each applicant gets one lottery ticket. Names are drawn in order, and families are notified by phone, email, and mail once the lottery is complete. Preference is given to students who: 1. Have siblings currently enrolled at OCS. 2. Reside in Community School District 3.
